It’s been such a long time….. Exciting things happening!!

I have been so busy lately with my life, I haven’t had time to post. I worked on my book for a while, but have put it down for a bit to work on other things…

I had to take a leave of absence from school because I herniated a disk in my back. I have taken that opportunity to enjoy playing with paint, collage and all kinds of other art mediums. I even got three of my pieces accepted in a local gallery exhibit called “Santa Through The Years”.

My photography started really taking off this July and I had two of my photos featured in an exhibit with many other amazing artists. Currently I have photographs in four exhibits throughout Indiana and also in a local gallery.

The best news of all is I was accepted for TWO solo exhibits at South Shore Arts in Hammond and Crown Point, Indiana in 2012! So exciting!

“Sparkle Hugs!”

On Wednesday evening, my daughter and I spent some quality time making these cute little “Sparkle Hugs” thingys.

They came in a kit that I bought her for her birthday. She loves to do crafty things and this was a great project for us to do together. What a fun bonding time we had!

I am so grateful for moments like these!

What a relaxing weekend at my Scrapbook Retreat!

I had such a nice time at the Scrapbook Retreat I coordinated this past weekend. I got a lot done and it felt so good to have some “Me Time”!

Here are a few pics….

This is ME, scrappin’ my butt off!!

Here is a lovely group photo that we took by the lake. I was so excited when everyone put on their T-shirts I had made for them!

Halloween Popcorn Card

This cute little “Slider-card” with a package of microwave popcorn hidden inside is a Make & Take project that I created for my next Scrapbook Retreat.
The pumpkin and moon/star background stamps are from Stampin’ Up! and the Trick or Treat stamp was in the dollar bin at Michael’s several years ago.

The ribbon is looped around the popcorn, so you just pull on the bow and out it comes! You can do this with candy bars, soup packets, hot chocolate packs and anything else you can think of! Just make sure you use the super strong double sided tape to close it!

My latest Diaper Cake creation!

I finally made this diaper cake, after procrastinating for a few days. I am so pleased with how it turned out! The little bear is sooooo cute! The lady who ordered this cake is picking it up tomorrow, I hope she likes it!!
